It is not trivial to understand the resilience of an STE system. Serious gaming is a method to help involved stakeholders and students understand how different shocks and stresses act on a system and what effective interventions are. TUDelft Environmental Engineering students were asked to develop a serious game about resilience for a specific city for the Integrated Project course.
As a starting point they used a game concept developed by the Gamelab at TUDelft. To find the game concept, click on the yellow "View Materials" button on the left pane. Content for the games was derived from the 34 trend reports featured in the collection 'Dutch and International Case Studies'
The format of the game concepts is for (multiple groups of) 4 players in 2-3 hours including briefing and debriefing.
