Implementation of ICF Documentation System for Dietitians

Since ICF is a helpful tool for setting goals and documenting patients' rehabilitation progress, Moorheilbad Harbach Gesundheits- & Rehabilitationszentrum (MoHa) decided to create an online system for documentation by using ICF as a basis. This document aims to present a step-by-step guideline on how to implement an online ICF documentation system by providing insights into the general information, actions, documentation, and evaluation that is needed to develop such a project in a different organization. It should inspire other organizations to start a similar approach by sharing general guidelines about the implementation process. Additionally, the advantages of the use of a documentation system are pointed out as well as obstacles one has to keep in mind.

Architecture Decision Records (ADR) - The Basics

This video describes the basic idea and implementation or Architecture Decision Records, or "ADRs". It describes the idea behind them to document design decisions with their context and alternatives considered. Interested in what you might encounter when using ADRs in your organization? Check our next video: https://video.saxion.nl/media/1_k2u6kljl Some additional resources: The hydrocoptic marzelvane, turboencabulator, sidefumbling and waneshaft are all inspired from The Turbo Encabulator (Youtube) The original article by Michael Nygard (which itself is an ADR!) can be found here: https://cognitect.com/blog/2011/11/15/documenting-architecture-decisions. Although documenting decision is not a new practice, the template of Mr. Nygard has been very succesful in making this practice widespread. Some parts of the introduction (among which the pixelating image) were inspired by Michael Keelings talk at Saturn '17. If you found this video informative, youi'll also like (at least) the first 10 minutes of his talk (YouTube). For ADR templates and tooling, take a look at http://adr.github.io/ More info on passive / active voice can be found in the Technical Writing course from Google.

Amateur Craft as Method-in-the-Making:

This research output documents a pandemic-era experiment in which academic researchers used knitting to record and reflect on their digital screen time, exploring craft as a critical research method and a tool for data sensitisation, feminist activism, and embodied knowledge making. Project Overview: A group of academics and amateur knitters from Maastricht University and partner institutions met online during 2020–2021, using knitting to document their own screen time over a week of lockdown. Their creative outputs—a collection of individually knitted rectangles—were later assembled as a tactile "knitted book" to display in arts and crafts contexts, as well as academic contexts. The project linked technofeminist thinking, craftivism, and artistic research practices, aiming to make visible both quantitative and qualitative aspects of technology use during social isolation. Main Topics and Learning Objectives: • Explore how amateur craftwork (knitting) can act as a research method to sensitise and interpret personal data. • Engage with concepts from technofeminism and critical craft studies to understand the role of tactile, embodied methodologies. • Foster social connection, experimentation, and reflection on digital dependency during the COVID-19 lockdown. • Develop awareness of how materials, technique, and individual interpretation shape both method and outcome in collaborative research. Audience: This work suits students, educators, and researchers interested in qualitative and artistic research methods, feminist theory, science and technology studies (STS), and creative digital-literacy pedagogies. It models interdisciplinary practice and encourages engagement with data, methodology, and making as interconnected experiential processes. Authors and Licensing: Authors: Denise Petzold (first and corresponding author), Laura Barendregt, Ruth Benschop, Anna Harris, Laudy van den Heuvel, Bernike Pasveer, Veerle Spronck, Sally Wyatt, affiliated with Maastricht University, TU Delft, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, and HKU University of Arts Utrecht. The text is suitable for publication in open educational repositories and supports open, collaborative engagement with academic craftwork. The pictures of the digitised version of the book were taken by Eric Bleize. Workshop Recognition and Rewards

The interactive workshop Recognition and Rewards focuses on the impact of recognition and rewards on the choices made within research regarding Open Science principles. It is notable that, in the current system, Open Science-related tasks receive less recognition and appreciation than 'traditional' research tasks. The workshop demonstrates how the societal impact of research can change through a cultural shift regarding recognition and rewards for Open Science tasks.

Introduction - Java

Learning outcomes: Demonstrate proficiency in creating, structuring, and documenting Java projects using IntelliJ, applying keyboard shortcuts and best practices for naming and commenting code. • Apply fundamental Java programming concepts including data types, arrays, operators, flow control, methods, constructors, packages, and imports to build well-structured applications. • Design and implement object-oriented solutions using classes, interfaces, inheritance, encapsulation, access modifiers, inner classes, and core API features such as collections, generics, and exception handling. • Employ advanced Java APIs and techniques such as functional programming, streams, multithreading, concurrency, file I/O, regular expressions, annotations, and unit testing with JUnit 5. • Build and deploy web applications using Spring Boot, implementing RESTful services, MVC patterns, dependency injection, Thymeleaf templating, session management, database integration, Ajax, and web security features.
