Guide Mendeley

Mendeley is a program that can easily store your information sources. You can also add notes or the full text if you like. You can put your information sources into folders and share these folders with other people. You can tag each source with keywords so you can easily find your sources in Mendeley. In short, you can create your own digital 'library' with your own structure.

Game Development with Students

The project Game Development with Students introduces interested educators to an innovative teaching tool with practical insights from the international relations classroom. Game development with students is a specialized form of game-based and project-based learning. It incentivizes both student creativity and in-class student-teacher co-creation and enables a particularly participative and result-oriented approach to the subject matter. The method is thematically flexible enough to travel across different fields of study and is adaptable to different levels of complexity. To enable other educators to implement this innovative teaching tool, we develop instructional materials (an educators handbook as well as educational videos), providing both general information on the experiential, game-based learning theory undergirding the method as well as practical, hands-on tips and trick on how to implement it in different educational settings. In doing so, we address the important, interconnected educational challenges of the transferability and sustainability of teacher developed tools.

Open3DAnatomy - 3D model Inguinal and Femoral Canal and Surrounding Regions - English labels

3D model of the Inguinal and Femoral Canal and widely surrounding Regions. To see the posterior view of the inguinal area, as seen during laparascopic inguinal hernia approach, in the menu, click the groups 'Posterior trunk part' and 'Posterior thigh part'. This will hide all structures in the back, en bloc. Surgically relevant structures that are present include: inferior epigastric artery to obturator artery connection (corona mortis), lacunar ligament (Gimbernath), iliopubic tract, inguinal triangle (Hesselbach's), iliohypogastric and ilioinguinal nerves, etc.. Overlays (green transparent) are used to show*** structures with specific names that are part of larger structures. For instance: lacunar ligament, reflected inguinal ligament, iliopubic tract, femoral sheath, femoral canal, femoral ring, deep and superficial inguinal rings, inguinal (Hesselbach's) triangle, conjoint tendon, medial and lateral crus of superficial inguinal ring. The source model was created by the AnatomyTOOL Open3D Model Project.* Anatomical content: O. Paul Gobée, MD, anatomist, Leiden University Medical Center, dept. The Index of Medieval Art

The Index of Medieval Art houses, contextualizes, and presents images and information relating to the iconographic traditions of the medieval world. Founded in 1917 and maintained by a specialized staff of art historians, it serves iconographic researchers through both its physical archive on the Princeton University campus and an expanding online database. Its ongoing program of conferences and publications provides opportunities for continuing scholarly and public discourse about the visual culture of the Middle Ages. Once a subscription service, the online database has been freely available to the public since 2023. Online holdings comprise 177, 306 (to date) online records of works of art from early apostolic times to ca. 1600. While western European and Byzantine Christian art remain most heavily represented, secular, Jewish, and Islamic art is also being added.

Introduction to Stochastic Hydrology

Hydrologic systems are both complex and extremely heterogeneous in time and space. As hydrological models are simplified versions of reality, their predictions are by definition subject to uncertainty. The field of stochastic hydrology focuses on quantifying this uncertainty along with prediction. This book aims to present an overview of the field of stochastic hydrology at an introductory level. A wide range of topics and methods will be treated, while each topic and method is only treated at a basic level: descriptive statistics; probability and random variables; hydrological statistics and extremes; random functions; time series analysis; geostatistics; forward stochastic modeling; and state prediction and Kalman filtering. The book can be used for a 10-15-week course at third-year undergraduate or first-year graduate level.
