Blended learning design game (English)

The blended learning design game is a fun, inspiring and effective method to rapid-prototype designs for blended learning programs. Using the learning outcome as a starting point, you work backwards from the assessment methods to choose teaching and learning activities, and match them with tools and resulting products that could be used as pinput for a formative assessment. The materials don't explain what all the methods are, but there are great sources of information online. The purpose of the game is to offer you a method of design and dozens of tools, activities and products that can be combined in countless ways, across different modalities both online and on-site. The method is inspired by the blended waves game by Joanne Heidinga, and based on the learning wave (Barend Last et al) and Laurillard's conversational framework. The files contain all elements of the game and the designs include 3mm print margins and trim marks for the printer. We normally give the instructions below for printing: 200gsm brilliant white paper, full color print. All cards in the file "ABL education design game [version number].pdf" should be printed and cut, sorted in the order in which they appear in the file. The file "BLGame instructions [version number].pdf" printed on 200gsm brilliant white, full color, double sided and cut along marks. Fold along the grey dotted lines.

ICF in Person-centred Rehabilitation

The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) is a linking framework for interprofessional collaboration and structuring the needs of a client. The person's functioning is the starting point for person- and goal-oriented iterative rehabilitation, for which ICF applications are needed. This material aims to support the use of the ICF in person-centred rehabilitation and interprofessional practice by offering ICF tools. It is based on the MAGPIED rehabilitation process: Meet, Assess, Goal set, Plan, Implement, Evaluate, and Document. Even though the material follows the rehabilitation model, it can be used by any professionals who uses the ICF. The idea of the material is to offer a short theoretical background, examples, and tools as well as examples of assignments for the reader. It can be used by any professionals as an inspiring package of ICF tools or supporting material when educating the usage of ICF in higher education institutions. For the lectures, the material includes a supplement PowerPoint presentation for the Assess and Plan phases.

ICF-based Tools and Practices to promote the use of ICF

The International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) is a linking framework for interprofessional collaboration and structuring the needs of a client. The need for practical training for professionals and the need for applications and tools to implement the ICF in clinical practice has been recognized. In total, 18 of the 20 planned development actions were completed. Four themes emerged: ICF training in the workplace (n=8), ICF videos (n=4), ICF tools (n=4), and ICF documentation (n=2). Bridging the gap between higher education and the work field was one of the ultimate objectives of the INPRO project. Much has been done, but it is clear that this work needs to continue in the future, in partnership with higher education institutions and working life. This report provides insight into how the developments were done and what the ICF-based tools and practices are.

Pilot of ICF-based Tools and Practices to Occupational Therapists

This material includes ICF-based tools for occupational therapists which we developed further after our pilot. In the pilot, we also had ICF training but it was based on the ICF basic course developed during this INPRO project. Coronaria is developing further ICF training, see ICF training to all rehabilitation professionals. This material includes the modified RPS form (only in Finnish) and very basic subsets for occupational therapists working with children, teens, and adults. The subsets are developed by occupational therapists at Coronaria. The subsets will be further developed in the future along with our ICF training. The materials are in English except for the RPS (Rehabilitation Problem Solving-Form) form.

Pilot of ICF-based Tools and Practices to Physiotherapists

This material includes ICF-based tools for physiotherapists which we developed further after our pilot. In the pilot, we also had ICF training but it was based on the ICF basic course developed during this INPRO project. Coronaria is developing further ICF training, see ICF training to all rehabilitation professionals. This material includes the modified RPS form (only in Finnish) and the ICF rehabilitation set including the minimal set of environmental factors and personal factors with support questions for interviewing. Material includes also the very basic subsets for physiotherapists working with children, adults, adults with neurological diagnoses, and adults with long-term pain. The subsets are developed by physiotherapists at Coronaria. The subsets will be further developed in the future along with our ICF training. The materials are in English and partly in Finnish.

ICF training to all rehabilitation professionals

This ICF introduction manual was developed because Coronaria has a need for ICF training material that works for all different rehabilitation professionals. The ICF training will be built on an electronic academic platform. This material gives an idea of how to build a practical way to adopt the ICF language as a part of everyday life. It gives an idea of a narrative approach in which customer stories are intertwined with different components. It also gives ideas on how to include practical and short assignments under different areas to help rehabilitation professionals to deepen their biopsychosocial thinking. Coronaria has an idea to build ICF training into different stages as an ongoing process. The first stage includes an introduction to what ICF is and what kind of ICF-based tools can be used in the assessment stage of rehabilitation. Hopefully, Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) will also get an idea of what kind of ICF training material is being developed in working life.
