Slavernijverleden. Onze moderne erfzonde? | Radboud Reflects lezing en gesprek met cultuurhistoricus Coen van Galen en theoloog Erik Borgman

Kun je schuld dragen voor gebeurtenissen die zich ver vóór je geboorte hebben voltrokken? En kun je verantwoordelijkheid nemen voor de context waarin je wordt geboren? Steeds meer overheidsinstanties en organisaties nemen verantwoordelijkheid voor de rol die hun voorgangers hebben gespeeld in bijvoorbeeld het slavernijverleden. Ook in de Bijbel speelt erfelijke schuld en verantwoordelijkheid een grote rol, in de vorm van de erfzonde. Welke parallellen zijn er tussen de Bijbelse erfzonde en de problemen die vroegere generaties doorgeven aan de onze huidige maatschappij?
