INPRO CF at MOHA project

The aim was to improve communication among different professionals working at Moha. Although there are some conversations taking place between employees, they do not specifically address interprofessionalism at the rehabilitation center. To rectify this, we decided to utilize the ICF competency framework to create questions about interprofessionalism that can be included in employee conversations. We also have similar conversations with interns at Moha. Our objective is to create self-evaluation queries for the pupils. Therefore, we aim to offer students an opportunity to enhance their interprofessional abilities by utilizing the ICF competency structure.

INPRO CF Project

Every year, several physiotherapy trainees from STP undertake their work experience at MOHA. These trainees have the potential to become future employees. It's essential to have good interprofessional collaboration. After an extended period of working, it's beneficial to reflect on one's actions and think outside of one's profession.

Aerospace Mechanics of Materials

Welcome to this course of Aerospace Mechanics of Materials. We are happy that you chose to join us on this exciting journey. This course deals with basic material and geometry dependent analysis of structures. In this course, you will investigate how these material properties, in combination with structural geometries, affect the design and performance of basic structural elements under axial, torsion, bending and shear loading. We have divided this course into eight different subjects and a review chapter. In those subject, you will find video lectures and readings, where the concepts and theory will be explained; examples, where we will solve a problem for you, so you can reinforce the concepts you have learned; and exercises, that will allow you to test your knowledge.

Navigating the Landscape of Blended Higher Education

In recent years, blended teaching formats have become increasingly important in higher education. Designing effective blended education is challenging and requires a profound knowledge of digital tools and technologies, as well as the didactical proficiency to deploy them effectively and efficiently within the learning environment. However, little is known about didactical design principles to support teachers in creating an effective blended design. This chapter reports on the combined results of two independently conducted extensive literature reviews that investigated (a) didactical strategies, methods, and techniques concerning online education in the existing empirical research on higher education, and (b) the effects of different blended teaching formats, compared to face-to-face education, on learning outcomes and/or psychosocial outcomes in higher education students. It was found that blended education can enhance student achievement and psychosocial well-being, yet that the instructional approach plays a crucial role. Combining the insights of both studies has subsequently led to a series of evidence-informed recommendations to design effective blended education with a view to the broad development of students. Readers will be provided with practical guidance on how to implement these design principles in educational practice.

Modern Distributed Systems

Distributed systems are the backbone of modern society but entail challenges in areas such as complexity and energy-use. Discover distributed systems from first principles, understand the architectures and techniques derived from them and explore examples of current practical use. This course will provide learners with a fundamental understanding (theoretical and practical foundations) of how cloud, edge, and big data processing systems work and how they address common challenges for distributed systems such as performance, resilience, and scalability. Modern IT infrastructure is built as distributed systems, an exciting concept that started with the first computers and evolved rapidly into its present form. From online video meetings to internet services, from social media platforms to online games, we all use and interact with distributed systems on a daily basis and increasingly depend on them. Designing and operating such large-scale distributed systems, however, is complex and typically involves making reasonable compromises. There are fundamental technical barriers as well as economic arguments why we cannot make these systems behave as if they were running on a single, perfectly reliable machine. In this course, learners will be introduced to the essential functional and non-functional concerns of distributed systems and the common problems encountered while designing them, such as consistency, availability, elasticity, and scalability. A variety of practical solutions that have been established in the leading tech industry in recent years will be reviewed. These provide re-usable building blocks to create new large-scale applications. These recent developments, especially around cloud computing, large-scale data processing, distributed machine learning, and other fields are often not reflected in textbooks and are absent from many traditional curricula but are at the heart of this course. The learning progress is assessed through a variety of different activities including quizzes, design exercises, experiments, and open questions, with peer review of other students’ solutions. In the final project, learners will design a distributed system based on the learners’ own experience and interests and describe the functional and non-functional properties of the system.
