Open Educational Resources at Wageningen University & Research
At Wageningen University & Research (WUR), we support educators in sharing their own educational materials and reusing materials created by others. Open Education is one of the pillars of our Open Science and Education (OSE) programme.
Sharing Educational Materials
You can share your own educational materials for reuse and inspiration by others. Visit our website to learn more about how to do this.
To share educational materials openly, they must meet a number of requirements:
- The materials must be accessible, understandable, and editable by others (for example in terms of language, format, and content).
- They must comply with copyright regulations. More information can be found through our Copyright Information Point.
- They must be published under a license that allows reuse. Click here for more information on ownership and licensing. The default license for OER within WUR is CC BY-NC license.

Infrastructure
WUR uses SURFsharekit and edusources for sharing and finding. Teachers can upload educational materials in SURFsharekit, after which an expert at WUR Library will review the submission.
It is also possible to share materials within or contribute to a community on edusources. If you would like to start a community or add materials to an existing community on edusources, please contact us.
Need Help?
Our Open Education experts from the Library and the Teaching and Learning Centre are available to assist you with finding, sharing, and reusing open educational materials.
