OER at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences

Open Educational Resources (OER) are freely accessible digital materials that are available for reuse within education.

The library endorses the efforts of the Open Access movement to make as many educational resources as possible freely available online and therefore advises, facilitates, and supports in finding, using/reusing and sharing OER.

Sharing educational resources

You can upload your OER yourself in SURFsharekit or you can e-mail your OER to the library. The library will then upload it into SURFsharekit.

To be able to share educational resources openly, the material must meet a number of conditions:

  • The material is readable and editable by others (think, for example, of language, format, and content)
  • It must comply with copyright rules, more information can be found on our Wiki, at point 6 of the quality conditions.
  • It must have a licence that allows reuse of the material. For more information on ownership & licensing see Creative Commons licences. We prefer a CC by licence.
